Boo indeed! Look what my car told me. Hat, Scarf and Gloves time!

Yes! It’s true .. and here is the picture. The house is now officially ours WOO HOOO.

I simply couldn’t contain myself so we had to go to Lowes and buy some paint to calm me. We .. I will be painting this weekend. We’re I am going to do an accent wall around the fire place and then paint the garage.

Then the weekend of the 8th our new furniture will be delivered and John and his Dad are going to put up 6 ceiling fans. I did ponder offering to help, but knowing my luck I’d fall off the ladder while simultaneously shorting the house out and electrocuting my self.

The the big day .. the 16th! We shall move in our new home How exciting is THAT?! Six months of stress and its all over like that .. well even if we did have to fell a small rain forest in contracts.

It’s all a very grown up affair .. next thing you know I’ll be in the kitchen with a pinny on and 3 kids screaming at my feet .. oo er Mrs.

Ok now to make lists of who we need to let know we moved. If you get a notice, you know we really like you *Grins*

So, I have a new job. No more driving 90 miles a day. No more $4.70 a gallon gas. No more getting beaten up by the crazies! Yay me! (Mind you gas has dropped to$2.96 a gallon this week. How crazy is that. Is dropped nearly 2 bucks in a couple of weeks. Crazy ass economy)

It’s working in a Holistic Chiropractic office that is 4 .. yes thats FOUR.. 1,2,3 FOUR miles from my door! Lady Dr does the Chiro side, Male Dr does the massage side. Husband and Wife team!

The best part? I get free treatment!! hahah ho ho ho he he ha he ho ha ha! It’s a hard life getting massages while your at work!

Lady Dr who shall be known as “Clicky Lady” was quite handy the other day when I bent down to pick up an evil ear bud(Cue tips for the Yanks) that the cats decided needed to die because it is BAD and threw my back out. She fixed it up luffly!

Male Dr who shall be known as “Muscle Hero” is getting rid of all my knots on Friday. I’m a bit nervous as it’s my first one but I’m sure I’ll be asleep on the table in not time lol.

In other news .. the house is DONE! We had walk through on Tuesday, they just need to fix a few silly things like seams showing in the ceiling and nicks in the wall, but basically that’s about it.

We sign for it next Tuesday and we’re done! It’s ours! We get to go shopping on Saturday for furniture. We already have stuff picked out.  With out further a do, here are some pictures!

Here are some pictures of Marlyn and I’s adventure to Grandfather Mountain.

So I no longer get beaten up for a living! Last day was officially Friday. Oh yes. No more bruises, no more 1100 miles a month for work, no more 2 tanks of gas a week!

John started a new job last week too so that means no more 140 mile commute a day!

The cats are good, Winston is as chilled out as ever and Murphy is like a whiny little 2 year old. haha.

The house is looking good. Stone work is up, tile floors are in, kitchen is in, bathrooms are done. Just waiting on hardwoods, carpets and final touches. We have a tentative closing date for the 28th. A bit annoying .. wish it could be pushed forward in to November that way we won’t have our first mortgage payment till Jan.  Oh well.

Well I’ve been a bit lazy since the wedding at updating this. Alas I’m a busy girl with things to do.

None the less here is a rundown of things that has happened.

I got approved for my Green Card on the 26th August and got it in the post a couple weeks later. Now I’m legal!

The proofs of the wedding photos arrived.

I got posien ivy again (YAY ME)

Work is plodding along.

The house has siding, drywall and the kitchen cabinets are in. (I’ll put those pics up tomorrow)

Oh and I had 12 inches of hair cut off!  Yes that’s right, after nine years, its all gone! Pix or it didn’t happen?! OK then!

Wow what a week. Totally exhausted but full of fun. Quick update with pictures as we still need to go take me Nan to the airport in 30 minutes!

Started with little sister arriving, 10 hours of Carowinds, Shopping, Nails, Penis shaped jello shots, and weddings!

House: Going well, all wiring is in, first inspection done. A couple of things they need to fix before the dry wall goes in, but not to bad. Will get up and take pictures soon.

Today was particularly busy. It was my first day off in 9 days and we were on the go from 9am and got home at 9pm. That’s longer than my work day!!

10am was the lawyers to go over paperwork and what not

2pm we met with the builders to go over where our wiring etc is going to go. Let me tell you, standing in a enclosed framed house in the 101F NC heat for an hour is NO fun. Infact, this is what my car told me about the temp today.

So the house is coming along nicely. Even if it was like a death trap of heat in there, I even braved going up the stairs to take pictures!

I forgot to take a picture of the front of the house this time. Ooppsie! So we’ll start with the back view.

I wanted to take a picture of my scrapbooking room but there was some crazy builder above our heads welding a nail gun and shooting it at 7 nails a second. I didn’t think it’d be so safe I’ll keep that for another day.

In other news, John traded in his Cadillac STS and we got a Tahoe. I took pictures of it but I’ll upload them tomorrow.

So I’ve been missing in action for a few days, Busy with wedding stuff, house stuff, work stuff. It’s slightly hectic around here!
